Can k9 Advantix cause skin problems?
Side effects may include signs of skin irritation such as redness, scratching, or other signs of discomfort. Gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting or diarrhea have also been reported. Can I apply K9 Advantix® II more than once a month? A single application of K9 Advantix® II remains effective for four weeks. However, if the dog has a severe infestation, retreatment within a month may be necessary. Do not retreat more than once every seven days not to exceed weekly treatments.
What happens if I give my dog too much Advantix?
Symptoms of toxicity can include twitching, hypersalivation, trembling and seizures. If you start to see tremors shortly after applying the flea treatment, the best thing to do is bathe Fluffy or Fido in lukewarm water with a gentle dish soap like Dawn or Palmolive.
Can you re-treat advantage fleas after 3 weeks?
If there is evidence of fleas despite having applied the advantage 3 weeks ago, then yes – as per the label instructions, you can apply another treatment now to help settle this problem. As per the instruction leaflet: ‘If re-treatment becomes necessary earlier than 4 weeks, do not re-treat more than once weekly’.
