Where can I get a kitten neutered in the UK?
We’re working with a number of other charities under the Umbrella of the Cat Population Control Group (CPCG) to reduce the number of unwanted cats being born in the UK. You can find out more about what CPCG are doing, and access a database of vets who will neuter cats under four months old, on the Kitten Neutering Database website.
Do you have to take your cat to the vet to get neutered?
Prior to the operation, your cat will be given an anaesthetic and once home, they will need to stay in for a short while, as advised by your pet. What happens when a cat is spayed or neutered?
Other than the previously mentioned behavior changes, spaying or neutering your cat is unlikely to change his or her basic personality, though male cats may become more docile following neutering. Cats’ playfulness and general levels of activity, excitement, and vocalization do not typically change following spay/neuter surgery.
How much does it cost to neuter a cat in India?
The project provides free spay-neuter surgeries for homeless cats and dogs, and low-cost spay-neuter at a nominal fee of Rs 500 for your pet cat or dog.
Can a feral cat be released into Hope?
HOPE’s TNR program includes feral cats as well as stray or ‘community cats’. If the cat is homeless and un-sterilized, and the trapper is willing to release the cat back to its original outdoor habitat and continue feeding it, the cat qualifies for our program.
How can I Help my Feral Cat program?
All trappers are asked to make a donation towards our feral cat vet bill. Better yet, if a trapper can afford to pay for their ferals at our vet (using the HOPE discount), that would allow us to maximize our feral cat program and help even more people, especially those people that want to help ferals but truly cannot afford to pay for any vetting.

Spaying or neutering (commonly known as ABC, which is short for Animal Birth Control) is a simple procedure that is performed on cats and dogs, both male and female, to prevent them from reproducing and adding to the growing population of unwanted animals.
