Why did you choose Columbia?
The reason I chose Columbia was the Core. Now, you’ve probably heard some mixed stuff about our academic program. Really, Columbia’s Core Curriculum is what you make of it. The reason why I love the Core is that it will open you up to a whole new world of thought and culture you may never have realized before.
Why is Morningside Park so dangerous?
Since the 1900’s, the park has had a reputation for being unsafe. The residents to the west of Morningside Heights appreciated the barrier from lower class Harlem. Columbia even posted warnings in the early 20th century that it was dangerous for their students to enter the park, day or night.
